Lafayette's Hub City Farmer's Market Grand Opening Tomorrow

Friday, June 18, 2010 9:35 PM

Greetings Everyone;

I know it is late in the day and really this e-mail should have gone out yesterday, however, I would like to press the fact that Lafayette's Hub City Farmers Market is tomorrow Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.

It is also Lafayette's Hub City Farmers Market' Grand Opening. There will be music, crafts, soap and of  course lots of organically raised produce.

It is also Father's Day weekend and Market Basket Youngsville will be running some very special deals, giving people a great opportunity to take advantage of heavily producing organic plants.  Great time for canning or freezing.

Either at the market Saturday or at the farm through out next week, thru Friday...

Buy 5 lbs of any vegetable at the regular price, most at $2.00 lb, get an extra pound free.

MIX N MATCH SPECIAL: Purchase $20.00 of any combination of herbs, vegetables, get 3  lbs free (except herbs).

As usual, we have some hybrid organic tomatoes and open pollinated organic corn, but everthing else is ALWAYS HEIRLOOM, ALWAYS ORGANIC.

Thank you and have a great weekend.

Sincerely,
Charles M. Thompson III, CCC

  What's Fresh on the Farm

Good morning,

Lafayette's Hub City Farmers Market was a great success yesterday, a great crowd and nice selection of products. We sold just under 90 lbs of tomatoes alone.

MarketBasketYoungsville is restocking today with among other things, a wonderful selection of tomatoes; some ripe ready to eat, some a little greener that have never been refrigerated yet so will ripen throughout the week on your window sill. We also have some heirlooms beginning to ripen.

Sunday special: Buy 5 Lbs tomatoes or any other vegetable at $2.00/lb, get another lb free. 6 lbs for $10.00.

Complete selection of other veggies include cucumbers and eggplant that I will guarantee to be the best tasting available, herbs, cayenne and jalapenos. The Golden Zucchini and White Patty Pan Squash are a little sweeter than the Green Zucchini, and the Yellow Crookneck can be cut and used in salads. Not shown are things like fresh basil and thyme and rosemary.

Two complimentary packs herbs with any purchase.

These vegetables are all being washed in our new washing/processing room and are clean ready to use. We struggled until recently, as our old setup had become woefully inadequate and our new equipment was almost six weeks late in delivery. Not so anymore.

Some of the tomatoes are Celebrity and BetterBoy, but everything else is...

ALWAYS HEIRLOOM, ALWAYS ORGANICALLY RAISED,

and of course we stand behind and guarantee every product we sell.

We appreciate your consideration as THE place to buy the best tasting, local produce available, without the chemicals.
